Agent setup

Let your AI agent set up Costbrake

Paste this prompt into your agent and approve one link. It connects your providers, sets a budget and points alerts at you. Every account starts with 14 days of Pro, no card.

Set up Costbrake for me so I get alerted when my cloud and AI bills spike. Follow the instructions at https://costbrake.com/agent

Add a line like "I pay for: AWS, OpenAI, Vercel." so it knows what to connect.

Works with

  • Claude Code
  • Codex CLI
  • Cursor (agent mode)
  • Gemini CLI

Or any agent that can run shell commands and reach the internet.

  1. Approve one link

Your agent sends one link, valid for 10 minutes. Sign in with Google and tap Allow; that also creates your account.

  2. Most providers connect without you

Cloudflare, GitHub, Railway and Apify connect in one click. For AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Neon and more, your agent can create a new read-only key itself. Your dashboard shows each step as it happens.

  3. Paste a key only where you must

For OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, xAI, RunPod, Moonshot AI and Vercel you paste a key yourself, all on one connect page your agent sends. When it's done, Costbrake emails you a summary of what it set up and anything that still needs you.

What your agent can't do

  • Touch the brakes: it never gets killswitch credentials
  • Pay, or change your plan or billing
  • Change or delete anything
  • Invite people or create API keys
  • Send alerts to Slack, Discord, webhooks or other people until you turn those channels on

Its session ends 1 hour after you approve it and can't be extended. You can stop it sooner from your dashboard.
